President Donald Trump on Thursday claimed that the war with Iran was \u201cover\u201d after announcing that he had canceled additional U.S. military strikes against the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today,\u201d Trump said during a tele-rally supporting Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, who was running for governor.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon, something that we insisted on; that was the whole purpose. That was 95 percent of it,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n
Trump also said the U.S. naval blockade targeting Iran would remain in place until a formal agreement was signed. He indicated that representatives could meet in Europe to finalize the deal.<\/p>\n

He added that \u201cdiscussions and final points\u201d had been approved by the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and other parties.<\/p>\n
Trump also said the naval blockade would remain in effect until the proposed transaction was finalized, with the time and place of any signing to be announced later. Reuters reported that Trump made the announcement after previously threatening further strikes against Iran.<\/p>\n
