WASHINGTON \u2014<\/strong> Tensions between the United States and Iran escalated sharply on July 28 after Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched multiple ballistic missiles toward U.S. forces in the Middle East, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). The missile launches were followed by coordinated U.S.-Saudi airstrikes against Iran-aligned militant groups in eastern Iraq.<\/p>\n
