**Fact check: No verified reports that President Trump has been shot again**
As of Wednesday, there are no credible reports from major news organizations that President Donald Trump has been shot at the White House, in Washington, or anywhere else today.
Videos circulating on YouTube and other platforms with titles such as “President Donald Trump Shot AGAIN” are not confirmation of an attack. Anyone can upload a clip with a sensational headline. Unless the claim is independently reported by established outlets — including the Associated Press, Reuters, the BBC, PBS, CBS News, or The Washington Post — it should not be treated as fact.
The only confirmed incident in which Trump was struck by gunfire remains the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt at a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania. A gunman on a nearby rooftop fired an AR-style rifle into the crowd. A bullet grazed Trump’s upper right ear. Rally attendee Corey Comperatore was killed, and two other people were wounded. Secret Service personnel killed the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, at the scene. Trump was treated and released the same day.
A second episode, in September 2024 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, is often mixed into the same online posts. Secret Service agents spotted a man with a rifle in shrubbery along the course perimeter while Trump was golfing. Agents fired; the suspect fled and was later arrested. Investigators said he did not discharge his weapon at Trump and did not have a clear line of sight to him. The FBI treated the case as an apparent assassination attempt. Trump was unharmed.
Those two 2024 events are frequently recycled in new videos and posts that imply a fresh shooting. Separate later security incidents near federal sites in Washington have also been mischaracterized online as attacks on the president himself.
Official channels have not announced any new shooting involving Trump today. Viral titles and unverified footage are a poor substitute for on-the-record reporting from law enforcement or established newsrooms. Until such confirmation exists, claims that he has been “shot again” are misleading.
